Attualmente la ricerca su questo fenomeno è ancora in fase di sviluppo, ma è fondamentale che in futuro si approfondiscano la comprensione, la prevenzione e gli effetti di quella che ormai è una vera e propria dipendenza.

THE CHARM OF IMPERFECTION

Synopsis:
War is the expression of the individual and collective failure of communication and cohesion. Every war, even the “just” or “necessary” ones that are justified by ideals or political motivations, brings with it suffering, chaos and an infinite number of errors.
War is a reflection of the imperfection of human nature that, despite efforts to avoid conflict, emerges when our emotional, social and political resources fail to find a peaceful solution. War is the manifestation of the human paradox: on the one hand the desire for order and peace, on the other the propensity to cause destruction and disorder.

IL FASCINO DELL’IMPERFEZIONE

Sinossi:
La guerra è l’espressione del fallimento individuale e collettivo della comunicazione e della coesione. Ogni guerra, anche quelle “giuste” o “necessarie” che vengono giustificate da ideali o motivazioni politiche, porta con sé sofferenza, caos e un’infinità di errori.
La guerra è un riflesso dell’imperfezione della natura umana che, nonostante gli sforzi per evitare i conflitti, emerge quando le nostre risorse emotive, sociali e politiche non riescono a trovare una soluzione pacifica. 
La guerra è la manifestazione del paradosso umano: da una parte il desiderio di ordine e pace, dall’altra la propensione a causare distruzione e disordine.

The Video Art Festival will take place between October and November 2024, in Marseille, Aix en Provence, Gardanne, in Italy and in Iran, with exhibitions, screenings, performances.
The international encounters will be held in Marseille, Friche la Belle de Mai from October 17 to 20 (the exhibition in la Friche closing on January, 19, 2025).
